It is believed that Obama becoming president is not good for India?

The Democrat majority in the US Congress could cut H1-B visas for the Indian IT industry.

There was a lot of rhetoric during the campaign and now the true policies will emerge.

 

well yeah, that's one place they might give trouble to IT companies.

 

As long as his presidency is good for America, I guess I could care less what happens to India?

India is gearing up to be a major competitor with us in the tech (specifically web) industry. So me being concerned for India is in my mind, the equivalent to being concerned for China 8 years ago.

 

Well Obama is good for Indians or world if he can handle US economy well and I think he will bring those old days. In terms of India, then India should not worry about it as US company do outsourcing to save costing and in today's economy condtion will not allowed Obama to stop outsourcing because of company's profit.

 

The US unemployment is surging and the democrats are pro-labor.

 

Yah, one has to be concerned about growing powers. India is emerging power in Technology and science, if it is not kept into consideration, its a huge loss for us.
