thanks everyone. yes i posted a bulletin from my highest account (265,000) so i guess this could be why, although i DID email google a few days ago (my CTR raised from about 0.30% to over 0.70%) and i told them i was worried about getting banned because of this, etc. just to be on the safe side. and my website is myspace-related yes. also i am not sure how to use adlogger as i cannot upload files to blogspot?

can you edit the code on blogspot pages? if you can just insert the given code in your index.
    If you can't i don't know :(
And a increase from 0.30% to 0.70% it's nothing. You should worry if it was from 0.30% to +30%

I dont think you can fully (if at all?) use Adlogger on blogspot.. you can edit the template, but you cant run PHP (can you?) checkout adlogger.org and post the question.. the guy that wrote adlogger is great about answering/helping users.

You know someone on your friends list could very well have clicked the link from your bulletin and started clicking ads randomly thinking he/she was helping you out that does happen sometimes.

Another MySpace site, another instant traffic spike, another ban. The pattern continues...

I got that same email like 2 years ago, and they banned me straight up. Which I found odd since I only made like $20/month. So, it wasn't like they were losing much. :-/

I might sound paranoid but I actually email Google whenever I get into a massive advertising campaign and am expecting a sudden increase in traffic. I just email them and tell them about the marketing that I have purchased and the rough increase in traffic that I am expecting. I usually just get an automated response from them, but I think the emails must be logged somewhere against your account number as a reference and if you do get a sudden spike in traffic, they can see the email and know why it's gone up. Just my 2c worth ...

maybe one of the people in your list is an adwords publisher and got the ache and sent a copy of your bulletin to google.

Did you "ask" for clicks in the bulletin? If you did I think that at least one out of 265,000 will likely be an irate adwords advertiser

I just got the exact same email. My heart sank when I saw it in my inbox, I figured I had been banned. I feel pretty lucky I wasn't, even though I have no idea where the invalid clicks might have come from. I'm looking into adlogger now.

I run adsense on a few sites, but definitely not major earnings (a few bucks per day). One site does have a high CTR though (by high I mean 12% average, but up to 22% some days). I wonder if that is the problem ...
