I've been asked to do a talk to a SeniorNet group about the direction of IT in the next 5 years. Now this age group aren't going to be retrofitting their homes to be "smart" and electronically close the curtains and play soft music when the car pulls into the driveway. Nor are they going to be interested in programming technologies. Developments in TV and recording options are going to be major as are improvements in web usability. I've got quite a few ideas but just wondering if anyone was in the know about anything cool that may not have hit the mainstream yet. One system I'll be checking out is SimpleWare - Students' work makes PCs simple for seniors
