Yeah, I've had this happen after I mention making this amount or that amount with something. All of a sudden you get all of these PMs with people asking you how you do it. Trial & Error is all I'll say :-D

But yes there's lots of ways to make money online, like I mentioned I don't do any email marketing yet I still make my living online - many people live on their lead lists. And I do think most of the affiliates who do *really* well are doing so with lead lists... And I agree that I am leaving money on the table by not getting into that, it's just one of those things - I absolutely hate lead capture things myself and the form emails that follow so ... I also think it depends on what sort of area you are into - as I don't market to other affiliates for the most part... Anyway... what was I talking about?

Sorry, but i'd rather like to keep that info to myself. Though you can see one right in my signature. I buy products before promoting them... If only the product impresses me I go on to promoting it. This way I can be sure that I am promoting a quality product and also provide correct information about the product I'm promoting :).

Amen ... I buy products I promote. Not only that knowing the product helps me write better copy than 95% of affiliates promoting it just regurgitating merchants sales copy.

Hey want to mentor me. My excuse. Old fart baby boomer slowly loosing mind needs someone to leach off of PM me if interested. :D

Would a squeeze page for a product be a good start for building a list?

True but people these days spam a lot to their lists with products to buy. Not a good thing to do if you ask me. It decreases your reputation amongst your list members.
Squeeze pages for building your list is a very nice move. Don't start mailing about the product from day one to your list.
    1) Send them a welcome message and some information about the niche on the first day. Make no mention of any products.
    2) Send them some more information regarding the niche for next 5-7 days but still don't make any mention of a product.
    3) Leave a day and send them another email with some information and introduce them to your product.
    4) On the next 2-3 days give them some for information and list out the benefits of the product. List Benefits, Not Features(Almost every copywriter would tell this to you)

If you do this in the right way, almost 90% of the people on your list who've read all your emails would go ahead and buy the product.
