I haven't been on the market of directories for a LONG time -simply since July of '06. The time came where I wanted to get back into the market and have fun with all of my old buddies (Yeah I'm 23 but not old) and see how they're doing and get my SERPS up to catch up with them again.

For those that have been submitting to the iSteve Daily Directory I would like to first thank you very much for your submissions, I know a lot of them were denied and most of them were approved but please understand that guidelines must be met.

I know some directory owners just approve so they can get numbers in, but iSteve Daily does not focus on that. Our main goal is to have a great variety of unique sites that provide a quality of information and a look'n feel for our newly visitors when doing a search on an engine.

Please note that our Guidelines & Policy on the submit page MUST be read in order to get your site approved. One of the main issues is the trail slashing in the URL's after the domain. For example: site.com/stuff/index.php <--- this is not going to be approved at all and will be denied each time.

Secondly the adult content is not allowed either, domains have been banned numerously because of the guidelines not being met. We want to keep providing you free service for as long as possible to ensure you a free service of submissions.

We are proud to say that we are going to stay as a Free directory for a very long time to provide an excellent service for you directory, business and personal site owners.

Just wondering why the trail slashing is such an issue? I'm not complaining or anything, I just don't understand...sorry if this is a stupid question.

 

Not a problem to ask at all. The reason for this is because of submitting two sites at once. This defeats the purpose of the one site submission and we only allow one site, not two.

Many submitters are adding their sites that have another page connected to their domains, and it's something completely different then what they have on their primary domain that it's hooked up to.

Secondly submitting networks that are the same but trying to advertise a specific page when really the viewers can access the page with a single click, so as you can see it does cause an issue for the reviewing when a domain is only needed.

Many directory owners don't mind, but we want to keep this a clean directory and lay the viewing out to just the domain page only (The primary target page) when they click.

If you have noticed I have removed the deep links because people are placing the same site in all 5 link url forms. Sorry for the incovenience but it's flooding the server.

P.S if you see a spot on the top where it says "Page cannot be displayed" Google has made a new system to manage the ads you create in which now will only show up 10 minutes after you place the code on your site, which sucks but it'll do for now.
