Two years ago I won at auction a .fm domain name. pirate . fm when the domain went into my account I was unable to change the whois contact info. To cut a very long story short Go Daddy advised me that I needed to talk to the guys who run the .fm registry. They told me I needed to talk to Go Daddy the domain registrar. After a long exchange of support tickets Go Daddy agreed that they would change the whois although they were not responsible. I have recently sold a .fm domain and am unable to transfer to the buyers account. I have been sent this message over the support ticket Dear Sir/Madam, Thank you for contacting customer support, In order to be able to perform an account change on a domain, we need to ensure, as per registry restrictions, that certain registrant information is not changing. The .FM domains are allowеd tо undеrgо а Change of Account so long as the registrant First Name, Last Name, or Company name does not change. If these items are not changing, please respond to this message with the account in question you wish to move the domain to. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you need additional assistance, feel free to contact us. ******* Advanced Technical Support So it seems that its not possible to ever change the whois details of a .fm domain. Are there any .fm domain experts out there that can advise what needs to be done here? Thanks James
I'm having the same problem. I wanted to hide my real identity so I wanted to change my name in the whois record but I can't. I tried to purchase a Private Whois but it won't work with the domain.
