I want to focus on promotion (specifically ppc). Unfortunately this means that I have to be accepted to an affiliate program. I have a preference for a high margin lead program because I should get high conversion rates with leads vs sales. Unfortunately I am having problems getting accepted as I really don't have a website to start this from that's related. Any tips or suggestions? Thanks,
If you don't get accepted, call them back and explain how you'll be using PPC to drive massive amounts of traffic to their programs. That almost always works. If they ask what other networks you work with, just start listing them off - CJ, neverblue, Wotogepa, etc. Just make sure you don't mention the one that you are applying to. It sounds like you're looking for CPA programs, more than CPS programs that CJ mostly has. The two affiliate programs in my sig are very good CPA programs.
you should put up a landing page on a URL which only those merchants will see (and the one you submit when you signup to programs) on this page you should explain why you are signing up and what you propose to do. the alternative is you speak to the network, who will in some cases send an email to merchants to get them to review your application
