Issue with opening php website/index.php

When I go to my one of my web sites instead of opening the page it brings up a pop up to download the index.php page. How can I change it so that it opens the index.php as a web page instead of bring up that pop up for a download? Thanks

Yep, my site fileushare.com which runs on php works fine but my other site ximhost.com gets a pop up with the option to download the index.php file, they're both on the same server. Any suggestions?

I think your problem is not up to you to solve
This is a execution time problem

To me, sounds like a misconfiguration with the webserver. Similar problem happened to me previously due to a misconifugration of the web server
