issue with compressing image

    hi guys

    i have a few images in png but every time i compress them to jpg the get smaller but loses background transparency...


    what am i doing wrong

    Only png image have no background white effect. You have to save in png format and you can apply that image with png format where ever you want to apply it.

    Well, if your .png's don't have to many colours, you can reduce the colour range to safe a few bytes.


    If you use GIMP, I suggest you download the extension "save for web" and play around with it. Here's also a tutorial
