I recently used Moneybookers account to withdraw $ 56. After withdrawal my moneybooker shown the account balance as around INR 3164(conversion is INR 56.50). But when I try to withdraw to my bank account, MB took fees of around INR 140 and displayed that INR 3024 will be depostied in the bank. But when I checked my bank statement only INR 2564 has been credited. Why is this vast difference? Original Money sent to MB = $ 56 Balance in INR once received in MB = INR 3164 While withdrawing to bank excluding MB fees of INR 140 = 3024 Amount Credited in my bank account = INR 2564 I am quite concerned to see these figures as nearly INR 600 has been charged for single transaction. Could anyone please explain this?
Nothing suprise here....It's a correspondent bank FEE...(Minium fee regardless the amount of transfer so you were billed 600)
well the answer is yes....But if you have icici bank account mean you can get full amount without any FEE..say if you have 102 USD in moneybookers and withdraw the same using moneybooker then you might get billed 2 USD as a fee by moneybookers... then remain 100 U.S.D...You will get in FULL(100 U.S.D)in ur icici bank account without any fee.But ICiCI will ask you source of funds if do more than 2 transactions(Withdraw)per month...
HDFC even poor for Moneybookers Withdraw Amount: 5455.57 INR I got 4160.46 INR almost 1300 INR GONE ... This is very bad Moneybookers lol I'm not going to use MB
It seems you have moneybookers account in INR as a base currency...so close the current moneybookers account and open a new account in USD as a base currency and then initate a transfer via ICICI i am sure you will get the FULL amount...The reason why you lose such an amount is because when some one sends money to your moneybookers in DOLLAR or What ever currency other then INR wereas your base currency in moneybookers is INR.So first moneybookers converts those dollar into inr...then again when you withdraw from your moneybookers account mean moneybookers always send the fund in USD or in EURO so here moneybookers again convert ur balance which was in INR to USD or EURO and the sends...Now the corrpondent bank takes small fee for the transfer and sends the money to your bank account and again your bank converts those money from USD OR EURO to INR.So ultimately you losing these much amount...So to avoid all just open an icici account and moneybookers account base currency as usd and then do transfer i am sure you will get full amount...
i have account in USD and always moneybookers process my withdraw as USD to my ICICI bank.....So keep trying .....i am using MB for 3 years.......@Pitu i don't mislead anyone..if you want keep trying else not leave off...i don't force anyone
closing account and reopen new account is the issue i am using mb since 2007 and due to this they banned my 3 account and I did over 10 thousand usd+ transaction through mb . may be u r lucky but this is true
This is what Moneybookers replied to me Please note that your primary bank account must be from your country of residence while your secondary bank accounts could be from other countries as well. Withdrawals to your primary bank account will be a subject of fee of only 1.80 EUR and to secondary bank accounts for amounts over 350 EUR - 3.50 EUR. Please note that additional charges might be applied from the processing banks such as transfer fee, currency conversion, etc.
these issue is nothing to do caused by primary or secondary bank account.....These issue arise when your bank uses correspondent bank to receive wire transfer....the correspondent bank will bill you some amount....
exchange rates may differ from withdrawl rate & your bank deducted 6% fee for total amount and MB deducted 125rs transcation charge MB sukx
