Issue about Alexa Ranking ??

Hi every one..


How a day i have noticed alexa ranking going down for every website...

I also view the top level website but all website alexa ranking going down...


Please help me what is reason for alexa ranking..


Please check your website also in alexa and give me suggestion...

down means your getting more traffic or at least more users with the toolbar installed.

 

Maybe the reason is because there are thousands of new users joining internet everyday.

 

It is better to have low alexa rank , although it is not a trusted data.

 

dont care the alexa rank. it effects NOTHINK .

it shows the stats for the web sites which are visited by people who has installed alexa toolbar

 

Everyone knows Alexa is not accurate!

 

Don't concern yourself with your Alexa ranking. That is nothing more then a stat tracker of people visiting your website who either has the alexa toolbar installed or a browser plugin for firefox. Your alexa ranking has no effect with your rankings on the search engines at all. Put your time and energy into other aspects of your website instead of trying to boost your alexa ranking. alexa is traffic rank, i dont think should be care for our seo guys.

 

When you see you Alexa Rank is low it means the computation of approximate visitors of your site.... If it gets low it means high alexa ranking... Don't rely on Alexa Ranking too much focus on SERPs rankings...

I've seen people here at DP offering a "service" to rank any website below Alexa 50K, so probably there are people interested out there. I guess to sell links, traffic or even the site at higher prices.

The only thing (I think) might be useful from Alexa is the number of page views by the user.

 

As everyone already said, you should worry too much about your alexa ratings. It does not mean anything in terms of how much traffic you are getting or how important the search engines think your site is.

 

Don't worry about Alexa...It gives fake data only... Wanna high Alexa rank? Just get into Alexa and type your optimized keyword to see your page within 10 results. Then click it...Doing this act daily will fetch you good Alexa ranking.

 

I see a lot of people talking about Alexa ranking for selling websites/domain names, etc. so it might be good to optimize for that. Also if your selling advertising and you can point out a high Alexa rank.

Has anyone heard of any other sites that measure a website in terms of popularity?

but it isnt so popular as alexa

 

BTW Burst Media, FaskClick. and other Advertisers use it as a means to know if a site meets there hit requirements. Not smart but advertisers do use it as a tool sadly.
