the point is that i feel that represent the majority of israeli and palestanians and the extreemist minority in both has been succesfull in stopping peace. we as people of the world must defeat these people and allow the majority to live in peace just watch some of the videos by one voice.
When were you elected? The Israeli's and the Palestinians are just a sideshow -- do you also "feel" that you represent a majority of Muslims? You can be the 12th Imam!
maybe a side show to you, but i do not think it is a side show for either israeli or palestanians. i refuse to allow organize religion to interfer with my understanding of reality and pursuit of peace for the betterment of human beings. as an athiest you should be able to support me here can't you?! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qT893MH654&mode=user&search= israeli and palestanians looking for peace
I don't support you, or anyone. I don't support people. I support concepts. I support life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. But life without liberty and the pursuit of happiness? Death would be preferable.
sound like a plan for peace to me. in war you take life. you pursue misery and sadness and your liberty is always under attack.
The only way to achieve peace is to have single secular state of Israelis and Palestinians. Palestine,a s an independent country is impossible, because israel will never allow that. So, let Israel annex Gaza and West Bank, and absorb the Palestinian population. Palestinians constitute the World's Largest Refugee population. No one can understand how painful it is to be a refugee in your own country. So, the only solution to this problem is One-State Solution. Let there be Peace...
Actually the problem between isreal and the plestinians is far deeper than just land. You need to understand that even more important than land righst are water rights and right of return of the refugees. Theres a whole country of palestinians in lebanon right now. Right now i think the moderate isreali and palestinian factions are making good inroads to a solutions(not right away but maybe a framework for down the road). Hamas has been isolated so that means abbas and the moderate elements of likud and the labor party need to really try to grasp this moment. not all palestinians call for isreal to be wiped out, just the extremists factions. Interesting point gauharjk , not sure how it would go over with both sides but it has some merit to it.
I do not concur. Perhaps a new idea would be more productive than any of the old and continually rejected ideas. It appears to me that Israel will be willing to allow Palestine as an independent nation -- as long as the nation agrees to peace with Israel. Alternatively, I'd be interested in seeing someone float a proposal to have Egypt annex the Gaza Strip. You haven't provided any real evidence to back up this theory.
I wish it was possible to have a Palestinian state, but is is very likely. The situation on the ground is far worse than western media projects it. To hear the truth, you have to listen to the people who live there. Bloggers living in occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip will tell you how pathetic their lives have become. International Solidarity Movement will tell you the problems to create a contiguous state are huge. The UN says the economic condition is pathetic because of closed roads, checkpoints chocking off Palestinian life. Their borders are sealed, their seaports are offline. And this has been happening for so many years now. It is pathetic. They can do nothing but hope the International community questions the status quo It is simple not possible under current circumstances when Israel has occupied so much land to build illegal settlements. An excellent article I found analyzes the situation there. I recommend you read it closely. Written by: Michael Neumann - a professor of philosophy at Trent University in Ontario, Canada. Professor I support One-State Solution. What do you propose?
Peace is not possible because the ultimate goal of the Palestinians is the destruction of the Jews. Both El Mufti and his newphew Arafat were Nazis. Land for Peace is a ridiculous concept. Look the the map. Israel is smaller than New Jersey. They don;t have any land to spare. The Palestinians in fact have plenty of land. The trans-jordan, former British mandate, was divided in 1947 and the Palestinians have a state in Jordan and significant land in the West Bank and Gaza. What more do they want? Why can't the Arab states, with the all the land they have, assimilate the Palestininians?
To answer the last question - because they don't want them. Witness "Black September" in Jordan in September 1970, when the King, grown nervous with the PLO presence in the country, forcefully expelled them with the lose of thousands of lives. Israel is a relatively small country, but the Gaza strip is even smaller - it is the most densely populated strip of land in the world. As for civil war, well it was the Israelis who actively helped to built Hamas. Frightened of the near total dominance of the PLO in Palestinian areas, their intentions were to cause splits though opposing groups. El Mufti was a cretinous creature, but Arafat wasn't a Nazi. He was, like the rest of the PLO throughout much of its existence, a secular Leftist.
Israel is the historic homeland of the Jews. Most of the Palestinians migrated to Israel in the last days of the Ittoman Empire.[/QUOTE] The majority of the population of Jordan is Palestinian. Palestininans are Arabs just like the Prussians that are Germans. The Prussians were assimilated into Germany after WW2. There are no Prussina terrorist organizations attempting to get their land back from the Russians. Gaza has a high bithrate. Palestinian women have 10 kids. The poulation of Gaza was approx 300,000 30 years ago. Arafat has praised his Uncle El Mufti. Even though El Mufti was a wanted war crimminal he was accepted throughout the Arab world and is considered the founder of the PLO.
Israel is the historic homeland of the Jews in the Old Testament. If we follow that logic, a logic based upon how the world was hundreds if not thousands of years ago, lets kick all non-Indians out of North America, Europeans and their descendants out of Australia and New Zealand, and whites out of South Africa. Of course, only a mad man would follow that logic. One more time - Jordan doesn't want the Palestinians. They've already made that quite clear down the barrel of a gun. Why would the Palestinians want to live in dictatorship? Because that's what Jordan is. It's not about shared ethnicity, it's about the sort of society they want to live in. Many moons ago, when the PLO declared their desire for a secular democracy, the arab countries that were bankrolling them were in uproar. That wasn't their vision and were certainly not happy about financing a pro-democracy organisation in the Middle East. Ararat wasn't whiter than white. In many ways he was an inept leader, and some of the current problems can and should be laid at his feet. He's not a hero to me, but at the same time he wasn't a "Nazi". I really couldn't give a toss about the Palestinian birthrate. So what.
Prove it from a reliable source Thats true. But they are Nationalists. Palestine is not just Jewish or Christain holy land, but also the Holy Land of Islam That is another ridiculous claim. Prove it from a reliable source, instead of from some zionist propaganda website Desperation is driving Palestinian kids to suicide bombing. No homeland for so many years. You call El Mufti a terrorist. The British called George Washington a terrorist. Subash Chandra Bose and Bhagat Singh were called terrorists in India by the British occupiers. So, what does it prove? One man's Hero can be another man's terrorist. Israel has killed and displaced more people than you would be willing to accept. Why don't you just open your eyes and look around what truth really is?
This is a zionist myth that they programe their children into believing, Arab Palestinians have been there long before Islam and long before Christianity even. Many israeli's aren't even semitic, they are of European ancestry with blond hair and blue eyes. Even in the torah, a promised land just for jews is a myth. Ishmael is considered the father of the arabs and Isaac the father of the Jews. Genesis 17 Are the jews the only seed of Abraham? No. Genesis 21 Genesis 17
According to United Nations statistics, 856,000 Jewish residents fled their homes in 1948. The Arabs should accept the Palestinian refugees as as apprx 1 million Jewish refugess from Arab lands were accepted into Israel. It works both ways. What about the Jewsih refugees? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish_exodus_from_Arab_lands I'll follow your logic. The Jews are in Israel so that's it. Case closed! It is important to note that there was a Jewish population in Palestine continuously. Even after the Jewish state was ended by the Romans, Jewish communities continued to exist. All of the successor governments tried to eliminate the Jews at one time or another, but none succeeded as numerous accounts testify over the centuries. When the Zionists started the modern "return" to Eretz Yisrael in the 19th Century, they were joining Jews who never left. http://www.palestinefacts.org/pf_early_palestine_brief_history.php
Yes you are right, there has been some sort of Jewish presence in what is now Israel for most of the past thousands of years. I don't seek to expel Jews from the Middle East, but claiming legitimacy for Israel because of the Bible is frigging scary and ridiculous for all rational peoples. Jews, just as much as Christians and Muslims, have a right to live in the Middle East. If there are Jewish refugees from other Middle Eastern countries then they too should be given the right to return. Full stop. There is no argument about that.
