Israels Just War

Yes it is a just war Israel is leading.

Hera are some points to underline this statement.

    1. Israel is being attacked from the North and South.
    2. This war will be of historical value because only until 2005 the muslim world has blinded the west that the occupation of "Gaza" is the reason of terror.
(today we have learned that Islamists are not trying to change Israels policy but to destry it).
    3. Ahmadinedschad has declared that the war in Palestine is just the forefront of Islams real purpose to destroy the free world and therefore has anounced to send thousands of suicide bombers into all direction.
    4. Israel wants peace and doesn't deny the right of existence of Palestine and Lebanon. So this why Israel is holding Lebanon responsible for the attacks on its people.
UN resolution says under 1559 - disarm the Hisbolah
5241 that the Lebanes govt has to control the south of its country only.
    5. Islam loves "Death" !
Hisbolah says "you love life - we love death" and "there is no art more beautiful, godlier and everlasting than the art of the martyrdom" ...
    6. ...resulting in trying to hit civilans lifes by spraying bombs where ever they can hit and kill as many civilans as possible, while at the other side, Israel warns the civilians go go for a run.

Of course you guys have something more to add on to the list.

Hisbolah will never give up voluntary, so a a call of ceasefire would be equal to a call to protect and save Hisbolah.

Sheik Hassan Nasrallah tried to get 350 million muslims into the war against Israel and the west but the answer was "NO".

July the 12th, Ahmadinedschad declared that now, after the attack on Israeli soldiers, Israel is going to be destroyed; and it took him 48 hours to recover from Israels reaction and declared that if Israel tries to attack Syria and Iran, that they would answer sharply.

Good points Arnie! I've been impressed that even some countries in the Middle East have openly noted that hamas and hezbollah started this and are not supporting them.

There's been a lot of outrage that they are hiding behind civilians too. Not so much here on the DP forum, but elsewhere.

Yup, when a country like Saudi Arabia, which is a long term enemy of Israel does not jump in with support of Hezbollah, it speaks to how provocative Hez's actions are.

There are probably many leaders in many countries that would like to see Hezbollah crushed.

Saw something in the news that said that native Iranians are not happy w/ Iran's support of Hezbollah.

It would be great to see them crushed!!!!

    Ok so
Let's look at Israel's longterm survival--a difficult feat, made more difficult if it keeps being seen as the bully who makes impossible demands (clean up this mess while I stand on your hands), asking that a weak state disarm a highly adept guerilla organization which Israel itself couldn't supress despite occupying Lebanon. Added to that it has now killed and wounded approximately 1800 Lebanese, which means 900-1200 families who are now firm enemies of Israel, and finally they have made it impossible for moderates in Lebanon.
Any long term solution has to provide some type of settlement somewhere, permanently, for the floating group of Palestinian refugees who have been left to rot by their forgetful Arab brothers. The state of Palestine needs to have good trade routes--if it can't succeed economically and employ its citizens, it will be a continual cesspool of hopelessness from which many recruits for Islamist terrorist organizations will come.
But I guess that could be a little indepth for this thread.

Finally, good to see someone start a thread pro-israel. Most other ones have been against it.

At least 391 people have been killed and 1,596 wounded in Lebanon, according to Lebanese security officials. Among them are 20 Lebanese soldiers and at least 11 Hezbollah guerrillas.

Hey wait, you just said 1800, now you say 391. You're one unreliable person. But I should have known that from the get-go.

I actually said killed and wounded.
    391+1596
    Equals
    1987 Killed and Wounded
    Sorry I underestimated.

Yeah poor hezbollah and hamas. Israel continually shoot missiles at their cities, send suicide bombers and terrorists to kill their civilians....

So they are hiding behind a lot more women and children than initially thought. The UN has already condemned them for doing this, though I suspect the UN representative that did so won't have his job very long for doing so.

I think Israel responded to the UN's condemnation today :p The accidental bombing on the UN building was a little TOO reminiscient of our Libya strikes back in the 80's. Remember when France wouldn't let us fly over their airspace. Another "mistake" parked a bomb on top of the french embassy in Libya. Woopsie!
