They've always been doing this. They have a little program that alerts everyone to new polls so they can swing them in Israel's favor by cramming in Pro-Israel votes, instead of getting an accurate representation of the general publics view. This general public was for war, the general public only turns against war is when it has high casualty, if it doesn't therefore it. Israeli people aren't just going to sit and get attacked by rockets, they will retaliate. Plus both sides really hate each other, and whenever there's death on either side they get happy. This time there is a lot of Palestinian death so this really got the support of the people.

When other countries try defending themselves from Israel, they are called terrorists.

 

Other countries don't defend themselves from Israel, they attack Israel. Hamas ATTACKED Israel via rockets and suicide bombings, before Israel DEFENDED herself.

If Hamas would have never attacked, Israel would have never defended.

Egypt doesn't attack Israel anymore, so Israel doesn't defend itself against Egypt and the two are pretty good friends now.

 

Israel is occupying Palestinian lands since 1967 war which they started as they have admitted in several occasions, so it would be more accurate to say, if Israel stop it's attack against Arab Palestinians, then they will get peace as they did when they stopped their attack against Arab Egyptians.
