Lets look at the all the possibilities a-Iranians have no weapon program and not thinking about it. In this case by us putting pressure on them they might change their mind Result is negative b-Iranians have no weapon program but are thinking about starting one. In this case by us putting pressure on them they reinforce their belief Result is negative c-iranians have a weapon program and we know where it is. in this case we can point to its exact location and have IAEA look at it. by not showing where it is we are getting a lot of bad rap for nothing. Result is negative d-they have a weapon program and we don't know where it is. In this case we have no actionable target other than their civilian program. if they have a parallel weapon program then they will accelerate it Result is negative and we can create a nuclear accident. Result is negative what am i missing
Iran is innocent and not a player in the terrorism front. Iran spreads peace and is being persecuted.
I am commenting on browntwn post, the report says many things, and shows that Iran cooperated, and what is left are mostly accusations that are not based on credible information as the report says, Iran does not want to develop nuclear weapons, but if they decided to, I personally will not support them in this but at the same time I will not blame them or condemn it or go against it, since already nuclear weapons been introduced to the region, they have the right to defend themselves against Israel threat and create a balance.
You don't care that they signed on the NPT? You are saying you support Iran violating the terms of a treaty it willingly entered into. Typical. Iran is a signatory to the NPT. Iran has been flouting its obligations under the treaty for some time now. "In November 2003 IAEA Director General Mohamed ElBaradei reported that Iran had repeatedly and over an extended period failed to meet with its safeguards obligations, including by failing to declare its uranium enrichment program."
I am not sure what are you trying to say, or where you read these things, they signed the NPT which is good, and they are not developing nuclear weapons, I care more about the ones who did not sign the NPT, you are trying to say that the problem is in signing the NPT? and if they did not sign it then there is no problem, they can have all the nuclear weapons they want, but since they signed, ohhh, they should not!! I think this is ridiculous.
Do you understand what a treaty is? If Iran did not want to comply with the NPT they should not have agreed to it. Likewise, countries like India, Pakistan, and Israel are not bound by its terms as they did not agree to it or sign it. So yeah, there is nothing about the NPT that legally prevents those three countries from having nuclear weapons. On the other hand, Iran is a signatory and that does legally prevent them from having nuclear weapons.
so it should tell you then that if they wanted to have nuclear weapons, then they would have not signed the treaty. but still your are not making sense, as if the problem is with signing the treaty or not, if so then there is an easy way to solve this problem, they can withdraw from the treaty, and have all the nuclear weapons they want.
You are part right, and making more sense with this statement. If they withdraw from the treaty, which they can do - I think with 90 days notice, then they would not be in violation of the NPT if they acquired nuclear weapons. That does not mean other countries wont act to prevent Iran from getting nuclear weapons.
It would be absolutely suicidal for Israel to allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons. A war to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons would hurt Israel; a nuclear armed Iran would wipe Israel from the map. It's better to lose an arm than to lose ones life.
Iran leaves Israel no real choice in light of their combined threats and attempts to acquire the means to carry those threats out.
let me tell you how it can be played. israel finishes peace with arabs.positive Arab rulers become loved and respected and this stabilizes them.positive A saudi representative encourages the ayatolah sistani of iraq to declare himself as the head of shia.positive Sistani calls mulahs to come to najaf for consultation Sistani decleares that they are doing things that has to be changed and tells them that they have to accept najif as center for shia which actually is [i belive]. similar meeting can take place with hezbolah and offer of money to replace the iranian money. iranian regime is going to get isolated. because syria is no longer available for arm transfer either. mulah of tehran will look weak.positive this weakens their religious support among the hard line religious groups and will allow for iranians to change their leadership.[we can support them at this time]positive hizbolah also will lose power to the other shia parties that might not exist today. and will lose its support and power .positive Also al qada looses one of its best recruiting tools.positive a ME peast will set back the hard liners to a point that they can be defeated easier.positive in the mean time we can keep an eye in the sky and if they start building new nuclear facility or if we find their their weapon program then we have something to talk about.
And Iran will be triumphant to "wipe off" Israel from the Map as what Iran's presidents repetitive remarks...
LOL. Little willy is playing the big warrior again while hiding under his bed and will not be the one who loses an arm or life. There are so many Benedict Arnold in USA and US politics toady that makes you wonder if one day USA and Israel go to war, which side will they fight for. Will they fight for their country or for their masters?
As of today in the American congress, evidence was provided over the reactor in Syria, which was destroyed by the Israelis last year, that this was the place for storing spare parts and plutonium(for weapons) by North Korean, Syrian and Iranian experts. Picture prove, secret meetings from Iranians and North Koreans are documented and proven. What else???
