Depends on your definition of terrorist. By the definition of the United States government, by number of incidences (not number of murdered people), leftist groups lead the charts for terrorist acts on US soil in the last decade, mostly bombings of medical testing facilities by animal rights activists. As leftists tend to lean toward atheism, the answer to your question would be, "Quite a few".

In other countries like Columbia, leftist groups carry out kidnappings, murders, robberies and all manner of terrorist acts with regularity. Lets also not forget that Stalin, a devout atheist, was one of the biggest mass murderers of the last 100 years, exceeding Hitlers numbers five times over.

 

In the past 11 years ? Hard to say without a clear definition of atheism . As long the atheist community put up a barrage of stickman arguments against any valid definition you can say that there have been just a few . Like the recent attack on Family Council , that was an attack against Christian values , the shooter openly declaring that it attacks them due to their opinions . There have been clear cases however like the execution and torture of non-Tibetan Buddhists and Falun Gong members . Given the iron grip China has over it's population it's hard to argue that these people posed any kind of threat .

Christianity at it's core is about peace and love. What is important is that it regulates itself so that those that stray are condemned and punished by other Christians.

I don't see that in Islam today. I don't see moderate clerics condemning Islamic fanatics without those clerics risking death by those they are condemning. I don't see the Christian equivalent of sharia law. I don't see Christian-led governments killing people for converting to other religions. Why don't I see Muslim organizations helping to feed other starving Muslims the way Christian organizations help these same Muslims?
