Isolate Turkey From The Rest Of The World

A couple of days ago my site got hacked by turkish hackers. Thank God it wasn't one of my important sites but it still sucks when it happens.
These scumbags should not have access to anything outside Turkey so my suggestion is to isolate them from the world of Internet.
If "ordinary people" in Turkey want's access to the outside world, then they need to get after all hackers web sites and shut them down before they can get to the outside world.
For now I have denied ALL known IP addresses from Turkey (and Brazil) in my .htaccess file and will add to it as soon as I see some illegal activity from other places. In my stats I can see/could see how they hacked the site and the information is probably spread throughout the hacker community so when someone else tries it I can see the IP address and it will be added to my ban list.
I hate those friggin hacker turks. I saw that even AOL's video site was hacked the other day. They are nothing but scumbags and needs to be shut down ASAP!

    ahkip,
I am speechless that someone have Charles Manson in their signature!
I have only bad experience with visitors from Turkey. They spam your blogs, guest books and everything else they can with their crap, so why allow them to visit your site at all? I am aware that there are people who doesn't do illegal activity in Turkey but for now they can hack and spam their own turkish sites until hacker sites are shut down and hackers are in turkish jail.

You can't isolate the whole country because of Turkish hackers, it'd be nonsense to do it. Turkey's population is 76m. And, you can't call all Turkish people "scumbags" because of a few low life forms.

That seems pretty racist to me MikeSwede. I got 'script kiddied' by someone from Turkey too. Big deal. It takes 5 minutes to fix and it's my own damn fault for not keeping my scripts patched.

On the flip side, I've made several sales to customers in Turkey. You can't just lump up one nationality and make a sweeping generalization without showing your own lack of intelligence. Next thing we know Mike, you're going to be calling for a mass holocaust of all people from Turkish dissent.

Anyway, take some red rep from me. I don't care if you give me some back.

I don't say that all Turkish people are scumbags! Like I said, there are good people too that don't do illegal stuff, but until they get rid of their low life scumbags I am banning the whole country. The good people need to fight against their own people and get rid of the ones that cause problems.
This goes for every country. We all need to fight against people who ruins web sites, spam and "terrorise" other web site owners!
By the way, I am no racist as someone indicated! This is more like a cry to stop illegal activity whereever it comes from and the only way is to isolate people from accessing my site to do harm. I know I'll be banning good people too but I'd rather loose a sale than having my site hacked.

I'm sure they won't be feeling sorry for not being able to access your sites, so have it your way. We don't have to go after the hackers and put them in jail so you let Turkey access to your sites. That's ridiculous. There are hackers in every country, plus it's your fault that your sites are getting hacked easily.

No it doesn't, I'm no going on a crusade against British hackers - tell me, what are you doing against hackers in your own country?

Besides, have you never heard of the World Wide Web? The clue is in the name. The web architecture isn't based on national boundaries.

Hacking web sites IS actually a huge problem. It might be my own damn fault that I didn't check for SQL injections or everything else you can do to try to stop them from hacking sites. People from all over the 'world wide web" are being hacked every day and if you do a search in GOOG you'll find a lot of them.
There are lots of money lost in man hours to get a site back and back into business after being hacked. Why should we accept illegal activities and do nothing about it until we get hit by it? We fought email spam and now there are laws against it so why not fight hackers wherever they are?

    And why not ?

If he will not loose business because of it - or the business he gets from Turkey is much smaller compared to the costs he has because of their hackers, it's not such a bad idea.

ok it's a bit against the principle of the 'world wide' web and free access to everyone.. but it's his site, he pays to have it hosted, so he can do with it whatever he wants and business-wise this can be a good decision.
