Isn't it against a religion to assume God's nature?

I mean if you believe in a monotheistic religion like Islam or Judaism (not mentioning Christianity because it has 3 gods.) Shouldn't it be against the religion to assume the nature of God and do things in a God's name that might not may I add. Especially 2 particular groups of people that both believe in the same God but argue over stupid prophets when God is the important thing... but their own God couldn't make up his own mind over the right religion.

 

Maybe god has Alzheimer's .

 

If you think that islam and Judaism have the same God, then you have no idea what they believe. If you can't see the differences, you should look a little deeper than this Internet forum. The beliefs are quite opposite in many areas.

Regarding your thread's question, we don't assign qualities for God. God is Above what we think and imagine, so we follow only His description about Himself through His revelations we find in His ways (i.e. the prophets, peace be upon them).

A note for atheists, to correct what might come of errors in their mind as usual:

People cannot go to God but through the prophets peace be upon them doesn't mean that God is proven only in Books.

When we see a hotel, we (the people of mind) already realise that there is a creator of that hotel even if we don't know that person who has designed it.

Likewise, we already know by logic that there must be a Creator for this great universe, this is a matter of logic, but we don't know the details of His High description and how we can come near to Him but through the prophets, prayer and peace be upon them.

While Islam accepts both Judaism and Christianity and has many similarity with Judaism, Judaism does not accept your Jesus since he is considered a fraud and con man by their belief. That is the reason that Jewish people had nothing against the romans put him on the cross since in their eyes he was less than a thief.

 

Islam doesn't accept any other religion. Islam just accepts Jesus as a prophet.
