I saw in another thread here at DP someone advertising a service, calling it grey hat SEO, that offers log injections and 100 forum posts every day. Well, first off, having to deal with this on a daily basis, it irk's me to no end. Isn't this spam? They claim that legitimate link building will get you nowhere and that there spam service is the way to "play with the big boys". My question then would be, why is it that these so called grey hat techniques aren't practiced by the most visited sites in the world? I mean, I never find Google or Myspace, or DP for that matter spamming websites. No, usually it's some illegitimate domain owner selling sex or drug products, or cellular phones. Why is that?

Also, how is this even considered SEO? Breaking that acronym down, you get Search Engine Optimization. When you consider that a huge part of SEO is building links for the sake of ranking high in the SE's, how then is placing very temporary links construed as SEO?

Well, I have techniques that those of you who do use this service won't like very much. I hit back, and I hit harder everytime I get hit. You leave one unwanted message on my site, I'll leave 100 unwanted in each of your spam listing sites mail boxes, I'll bombard your live help chats with demands requesting the discontinuance of such services. But I won't give out my forum URL, no, I want this service stopped for the sake of all forum communities. I urge you all to take similar steps to help stop this useless and ugly form of marketing.
