    The Islamic Human Rights Commission, based in the UK, has opened nomination for their annual Islamophobia Awards 2006. What is Islamophobia? Islamophobia is defined as:

    A contemporary and emerging form of prejudice Islamophobia can be described as stereotypes, bias or acts of hostility towards individual Muslims or followers of Islam in general. In addition to individual acts of intolerance and racial profiling, Islamophobia leads to viewing Muslims as a greater security threat on an institutional, systemic and societal level and perceiving their views to be intrinsically problematic, violent or unethical.

    We nominated Daniel Pipes for the awards, with the following reason: "For his anti-Arab, anti-Islam articles and his campaigns and [advocation of] discrimination against Muslims."

    b) Harussani Zakaria - Current Mufti of Perak - FOr pitting Muslim against Muslim. Muslim against Christian, and Muslim against non Muslim in general.

    c) Akmal Abdullah - For infiltrating and using the Media to pit Muslim against Muslim.

    d) Parti Islam Se Malaysia - For the effective division of Muslims.
