Even in Middle East your assumptions are not correct. Who is fueling the radical Islam? USA. People in these countries see no chance of change or democracy and their governments is killing the opposition with the help of western countries so while many educated people turn to socialism, the mass turn to radical Islam and dreaming about the time Islamic countries had power and were not colonized by the Western world. Why do you think people like Mikael dream about old Islamic empire?
Congratulations for proving yet again that you are 100% Because he's a nutjob who's dreaming of global hegemonia and religious slavery .
How is the USA fueling radical Islam? Perpetuating the war? Buying their oil? Paying Pakistan, Egypt etc.? In which way do you mean USA is fueling them? I dunno. I treat him as the character whose lost someone dear to this war on terror. He carries a lot of hate but hasn't really shared why he personally thinks like he does that I know of.
Ask yourself why a government that is not ready to give its own people free medicine, housing or food is paying billions of dollars to the government of Pakistan, Egypt,...? It is not out their goodness of heart. It is to support dictatorships that help them to steal resources while keeping their own people poor. For many countries the colonial rule of England never ended, it was just replaced with neo-colonialism of the USA. These people are attracted to radical Islam because it presents a dream that one day they will be in control of their country and life and their children will not have to tolerate the same miserable living as they. It is not only Mikael who dreams about old Islamic empire, many of their writers and intellectuals are also writing and dreaming about the old glories because it gives them hope. This is the Middle Eastern version of American dream when everyone could become rich and successful by hard work.
Let's say that that's true. How should western governments solve that? Are we stealing the resources or paying them shitloads? Whose paying who? Are they (whoever we're paying) keeping it for themselves or running a country with it the best they know how, corruptly? I would have thought companies/corporations with very deep pockets driving the shady resource deals moreso than government itself though you're likely correct in the sense they've either paid off or currently secretly employ the government agent to push their agendas through. If they dropped that violent religion crap and embraced capitalism they could make a fantastic country from all their resources. Throw in a mid-level socialist system and it could be heaven.
Shit loads is a relative term. Couple of billions for you is shit load but in the mining industry is peanuts. Companies cannot install governments in these countries, so USA installs the friendly dictators that sign very favorable deal with American companies or their proxies. You are a very naive person, just look at the history of South America, Asia or Africa and see what happens every time a leader emerges that is not corrupt and is fighting for democracy and improving the life of the people. A hint for you, such leaders don´t have a long life time.
No you don't have the right to violate the right of others . Don't worry we know you don't care about rights or freedom .
this is your perspective on on area, which in the case is taliban.. I can sure you there is more if you willing to read first..
