Islam, the most targeted religion in this world. Everyone is running behind Islam to find mistakes and some how bring a bad image to it. Althrough they are not successful yet ( and never be so ), they are trying their level best to some how show that islam is some thing Bad ! but the question arises here as to WHY ? i came across people stating with the following answers : They say " People kill in the name of religion, so i hate it " One fact which i like to bring here is that when ever a person turns into muslim, he STILL REMAINS A HUMAN BEING ! and of course he remains to be a human being till he dies. But the thing is that he overcomed few of his bad habits ( althrough not all ) and learned few good things. Few people are of the assumption that islam teaches to kill in the name of religion. Imagine if the AIR is polluted in some part of the world, then it is foolishness for a person living in some other part of the world that the whole AIR is polluted and hence we'll not breath. Islam is a religion which teaches that there is nothing to compensate for a life of an innocent. It is the only religion which strictly prohibits killing of innocent people. Of course, i beleive that today media has mislead the world bringing terrorism related to islam. We all are human beings, have different views of our life and also we think differently. If a person is terrorist, it does not mean that it is his religion which is teaching him terrorism, but rather it is his political view or his personal ideology by which he practices voilence. According to me, a person cannot remain a true muslim if he practices actions which are prohibited ( including innocent killings ) and there is no question stating that a muslim getting involved in terrorist activities. They say " Womens are suppressed in islam " Islam never suppressed in islam, rather islam was the first religion to give respect and status for women. Islam has lifted women to the highest level stating that " the heaven lies below the foots of your mother ". There is not a single religion which has given a women with such a status. By stating this, Islam has brought up the status of women higher than the status of men. Islam was the first and last religion in this world which broke the barriers between men & women giving equality between a man & a women. Islam teaches that whether you are a man or an women, you are equal before ALLAH and there is seperation only in the good and the evil doers. What is prohibited ( strictly ) in Islam ( Haraam ) ? Actions, such as adultery, murder or homosexual activity. Food and drinks such as alcohol, intoxicants and so on. Forget about religion, on humanitarians grounds these are bad for an human being and we all know it. Why is that the whole world running behind deframing Islam ? This question is still a mystery. People put on extensive efforts, build websites, creating bulk ebooks , create print media, videos and few even advertise by paying a price to defarme islam. Why are they interested to target islam ? is that they cannot see people turning towards good or they fear themselfs to turn a good human being ? The Most obvious answer is that these people loose money. Islam is the only religion in which you dont have to pay anyone ( where as most of the religions are concerned, they pay a price to offer a prayer, they pay or donate extensively for their religious leaders in various ways, but this is not the case in islam ). And finally, Islam is a way of life. If you discover it properly, then you will realize the goodness in it. I sincerely apologies if i have hurted anyone in any ways, Thanks & regards
I shake the hand of any moderate Muslim that wishes to live in peace and worship in the manner they choose.I recognize that most Muslims are moderates and are no threat to me or anyone else. But to the extremists Muslims that wish to impose their beliefs,I say no to them. Also to extremists Christians,I would have the same message.
I'd also like to shake the hand of all the Muslims that recognize that WTC was done by Muslims and condemned the extremists . Unfortunately they're being beheaded on a regular basis and those that survive have the habit of hiding . So I'll have less then 1000 handshakes to share worldwide .
Whoever had done the killing in WTC, i beleive that AMERICA is also the one to be blamed. This is because being a superpower, IT FAILED TO PROTECT ITS OWN CITIZENS. Whats the use of showing powers to others, sending troops to other countries when it failed to provide security inside its own country. Its very easy to put faults on others and hiding their mistakes. Where you can find a single voilent muslim, you can find billions of muslims practicing peace. Where you can find a single muslim practicing illegal activities, there are billions of muslims practicing the good and calling people towards the good. There is nothing like extremists in islam. If they kill innocent people, its against the law of allah and thus there is no question of them being practising islam.
I don't believe any human has the right to take another humans life, no matter what he or she may or may not have done. You have no right to destroy the life of another human, and if you do you may just minimize the destruction and kill yourself first.
You can't bring yourself to condemn Muslims who murdered random innocent civilians. Shame on you and whatever bullshit you are trying to defend with this thread. Since you can't find it in your heart to condemn Muslims who commit murder in your name, then you deserve the reputation they give you. Because people like you blame others for the acts of Islamic followers. You don't get to decide that when another Muslim commits a crime in the name of Allah that it doesn't count. You should be condemning it not excusing it. My time on DP has taught me more than anything that it is the ordinary Muslims, rather than defend their religion by condemning murderers and terrorists, always seem to try to find a way to absolve Islam and any Muslim rather than try to protect their religion. You can't have it both ways. You want to defend Islam and embrace terrorists then the reputation you have is the one you deserve.
Whoever? Seriously? You just lost credibility, and put yourself in the "terrorist apologist" business. Blame the victim for failing to stop a murder? That's like blaming girls that get raped for the act because they dressed too provocatively. [Oh wait... not an argument you'd understand, that's standard protocol too.] The fact that the doctrine prohibits killing innocents doesnt change the fact that for many, killing innocents in the name of the religion is common practice. One way this is dismissed is to simply deny who did it, as you have done. Another way is to strip the victims of the status of "innocent". -- innocent?! she was asking for it by wearing that! She must be stoned for tempting men to the point of doing wrong! -- innocent?! He penned a cartoon that insulted The Prophet! He deserves to die! -- innocent?! He wrote a book that was unfavorable to our religion! -- innocent?! He had relations with other men! He is not innocent and must be hanged! -- innocent?! He left the true faith. He isn't innocent, he's an apostate! You can't just point to a piece of paper... that says killing innocents isnt allowed and eliminate the reality that innocents are killed in the name of the religion daily. That's just denial. Until people see Islam join in combatting the senseless killings in the name of the religion... AND cease to support killings based on moving the goalposts to declare people that did you no harm as worthy of death... The taint will remain. Dont show us a piece of paper, and quit blaming the victims of intolerance for their own death at the hand of the believers. Actions speak louder than words.
Obviously NOT. I am not defending the terrorists and i hate all those who kill innocent people. I am not blaming the victims but rather blaming the government for not providing proper security for its citizens. Ofcourse the blame and hatred for the one behind the incident will always exists. And the hard fact is that nothing can bring back the lifes of those being the victim but still we can strive forward to prevent these in future. @browntwn & @robjones There are billions of muslims around the world, you cannot blame the religion if any few of them are wrong. If a christian or non muslim robs a bank or kills someone and then to justify him he says that he did for the sake of his religion then i am sure you will not blame the his religion, instead you will put him behind bars. Come out of the illusion of whatever views you have for islam. Its easy to say that he is good or bad, But what contribution have you made to improve your environment, change what is bad to good ?. I beleive you are least bothered about others.Just sitting infront of internet and criticizing others is an easy job but coming out of your home and giving a life to someone really matters. Islam has given a living to millions of people around the globe. It has changed the lifestyle of people, showed them a way of life. Thought them human values at the same time bringing discipline & moral support. These things can never be seen by you if you just sit infront of internet & criticize islam. Come out of your virtual world and face the reality. Understand what life if, life is not just about eating , drinking , chatting & then leaving this world some day being unaware of the purpose of this life. While there are few who sit and criticise islam, there are thousands & thousands who turn towards islam. They found life's is excellent rather than good. They got to the see, feel & realize something which others like you have failed to realize.
If there is a Moderator around this should be put as the funniest quote of the day. Hello ! suicide bombers, terrorist, Abu Sayaff beheadings. LMAO and its capitalized ! If that way of life your talking to as in Abbottabad sad to say is not what people are looking for. LMAO again capitalized ! Actually we have day jobs and we do ok ! We don't criticize we don't !
Right , right ... Here's what you're trying to do . Also just for your nutjob record there are just 1.3 billion muslims around the world , but you can keep dreaming .
The "one behind the incident" says he did it for Islam, and that others who follow Islam should do the same. To move forward and prevent these types of attacks in the future requires addressing that issue, not trying to sweep it under the rug and ignore it. You seem to be in the camp of trying to deny this very basic fact. Again, you miss the point. The heart of the problem lies with the fact these people are doing this in the name of Islam. If christians were robbing banks or Budhists were murding people in the name of their religion, it would be a problem that needed to be addressed. Did Rob or Browntwn criticize Islam? They criticized Muslims who committed mass murder. They criticized Muslims who asked others to do the same in the name of Islam. Why would you say that is a criticism of Islam, when you yourself point out that murder is against the rules of Islam? When you equate criticisms of mass murderers to attacks on Islam, you are at once defending mass murder and implicitly saying any Muslim who commit mass murder deserve such protection in the name of Islam. Lets get a few things clear. 1) Islam is not monolithic. We have Sunnis, Shia, Ahmadis, and all manner of other variations. Even within the larger groups, like the Sunnis, there are variations in what is taught in the madrassas. 2) Most terrorist murders of civilians in the last decade have been comitted by Muslims, and most of the victims were Muslim 3) Whether these people call themselves Muslims or not, they are murderers. 4) Their murderous behavior, and calls to murder in the name of Islam, reflect poorly on the Muslim faith. When you consider those basic facts, we Muslims should be most outraged at these murderers, not at the people pointing out they are murderers. Their perverted brand of Islam is ruining the reputation of Billions of Muslims worldwide. Everytime someone like you blames the victim, and tries to defend these murderers with the "Stop attacking Islam" argument, you are helping define the stereotype that all Muslims support mass murder. Thanks bro.
If Christians start claiming they robbed banks to bring glory to God... or scream "Jesus loves me," while blowing up a pizza joint full of kids... you'd have a point. In absence of that behavior, the acts can't be equated. The fact remains there is a violent sect within your ranks that are causing a very real problem and it needs to be dealt with, not just dismissed. There is also a very real issue with governments that either enforce very violent and sometimes deadly religious based penalties against homosexuals, apostates, adulterers, women that break the dress code, people that drink alcohol... Or else refuse to prosecute those that violently enforce strict religious code outside the government. The honor killings and such may not even be officially part of the religion... YET penalties against such acts have been opposed as being an attack on the religion, so there IS a connection. When a religion endorses violence against those that break its tenets, it stands little chance of being considered a religion of peace no matter what verse they point to. I dont suggest all members of the religion are terrorists or even in favor of their actions, but until they take proactive steps to eliminate laws and practices within the religion that use force to promote or maintain the faith, the peaceful talk is just talk. Religion should be between a man/woman and their conscience, not something they do to avoid being killed or maimed. It wasnt right when Christians tried enforcing religious law by force in the inquisition, and it isnt any more right today. And Ftr: Assuming my association with or knowledge of the issue is limited to internet chat is incorrect. I'm aware there are good people in your faith. Does not make my objections above go away, just gives me hope they someday might be addressed.
