Is Youtube Stupidly Slow These Days?

When its not night, youtube its lagging so bad, it can barely even load its homepage in under 30 seconds... No I'm not on dial up. I'm on a dedicated dsl line.

Other people are experiencing this too, i wonder if all that traffic is becoming a lettle bit too much for them to handle

 

youtube is hosted on googles servers?

I guess it depends on the time you are accessing youtube. On certain times it will be slower due to the number of people using it at the same time.

 

I bet the peak time is lunchtime in the US.

 

I felt some variations on downloading speed, but it was nothing serious.

Try a proxy, it would be ironic if it was going faster.

 

Google is very fast for me. Youtube takes forever to load. Try to watch a video and browse around, Then you will experience super lag. My friends are lagging also...

Edit: Proxies make it even slower Takes 1 minute per page!?!?

Its pretty slow just as you mentioned. Now I have to stay awake until 2 am to download stuff from there =[

What are you guys smoking? Youtube took less than a second to load, from the main page to my profile and videos. Google is super fast.

yes its bloody slow for me very very slow its giving access to my account in too much time i think they are using many scripts to update their site but they dont know by doind this they are loosing their visitors.

Yes It has been slow & many people have reported the same, The strange thing is that it happened after Google acquisition.

 

For me too YouTube was very slow today.
