I dout ou're serious man If youtube was not supposed to make money for google, then would google buy that site lol
What do you mean by this i really don't understand .Cont you see on advertising page ,1st thing they ask what is your budget to advertise on youtube .and the min amount to select $40,000 or below it .& as far as my experience if you select Below $40,000 then do not expect any answers from them .You can Promote your youtube video via google adwords .What else they make profit from .You can see sponsored links on side of every single video ,Also google ads.
As the largest video site on the planet, Youtube is poised to be the largest revenue generator for google apart from adsense. They just need to get their monetization strategy right. I hate the links on the bottom of the videos. There are many other avenues they could work on though like a small paid for commercial before or after the clip. That would certainly bring in the age of a new dawn for videos and advertising.
YouTube is already making a huge profit off their site. It is the most popular video sharing site and I doubt they are making less money...
OMG I cant believe people wouldnt think YouTube was profitable. Thought this was a forum full of smart tech people
The google guys are on their way to revolutionizing youtube to transform it to a money making machine more than it is already now.
No, YouTube is still a site that needs lots of money to operate. Although it has been the most popular video site, it doesn't mean that Google have made big fortunes with YouTube.
yes YouTube will be profitable in the long run that i didnt doubt. its just that like blings and duia said they need lots of money to operate the site and its always about costs VS investment. my point was even they've got tonnes of advertisers right now they still might not be able to cover the expense AT THIS POINT. i just want to know if any of you has seen some important revolutions these days in particular that Google has done to transform it a money making machine like blings said. esp after they reported their quarter earnings without solid figures.
YouTube makes them a lot of money and will make them a lot more. I believe the bought it or $1 billion.
Initially, a venture such as YouTube that required large startup costs relies on the collection of venture capital from various capital groups. These investors are approached by people behind large (or would-be large) efforts like YouTube and are asked to fund the initial startup fees--and sometimes beyond startup. These investors are pivotal because without their large capital, often an Internet endeavor cannot be initally funded or cannot be sustained past infancy stages. Advertising is a method of earning revenue in the interim, but this isn't always fitting to pay large bills. Even with all the traffic and individual page views YouTube has received, relying on small-time advertising campaigns or programs like Google AdSense will not serve to cover costs. With some major sites, until they find a stable way to realize true physical monetization through advertising and otherwise, the large share of their worth is theoretical and dependent upon what potential investors and experts believe they are worth. Of course, whatever this number is doesn't exist until a corporation or big-time investor steps up and actually offers this money to purchase the site.
well guys...all about youtube...i would like to know how we can earn...or what are intial steps...is it unough just uploading a video or...please help me to earn with youtube..
According to there company they shown Revenue of $10 - 50Million ...So you can think how much they are earning. Hp
I dont think Google have monetized youtube effectively yet. Check this report out - http://www.internetevolution.com/author.asp?section_id=715&doc_id=175123& where they say "Google is spending more than $2 million a day on YouTube -- and it is nowhere near seeing a return on that investment. Indeed, it may be losing up to $1.65 million daily on the video site." Sure it may be dated 2009 but I still think Google hasn't triumphed over the costs vs. income equation yet.
Well, i don't think Youtube is making tons of money. Everyone on internet don't come online for watching videos only.
