Is your site making you RICH?

Is your site making you rich?? Well mine isn't making me rich, but it's making me a good living. However, rich is relative. Where I'm going with this is there is a site called Kiva.org that helps struggling entrepreneurs in third world countries who could never get a load from a bank collect loans from private individuals. You don't have to loan the full amount and can contribute as little as $25. These people are piss poor and the tiny loan they collect is life changing money.

And remember it's not like you are giving away money, you are loaning it and it will be paid back. Only .002% of people who are lent money from this site aren't able to pay it back. Spread some holiday cheer and lend some money at http://www.kiva.org/

P.S. post replies to keep this post from dropping

The site is a non-profit organization that makes it's money through donations. When going to loan someone money there is a screen that asks you how much you would like to donate to the site. 10% is recommended but not required.

This site doesn't just post any and everyone who wants money. It finds its entrepreneurs through local finical agencies who find people genuinely in need of the money, have a plan on how they will invest it, and are likely to pay back the money.

The vast majority of people pay back their loans in full.

SEE: PAID BACK LOANS - 4342 TOTAL
SEE: DEFAULTED LOANS - 12 Total

99.73% of loans are fully paid back and on time. I'm actually surprised it's not higher considering the money is going to someone in a third world country, but that just shows they do a good job at choosing candidates. It's not a scam. I think it's safe to assume that anything recommended by Oprah, NBC, and a former U.S. President is legit (unless that president is Bush!).

    Your welcome.

P.S. It's not my site. I saw a report on TV about it and decided to lend and spread the word.

I checked out prosper.com and it seems to be more loaning for profit, whereas kiva.org is loaning to help people. Thanks for the info though.
