Yes thats a very simular submittion that they do and it may be another clown spammer all together. They enjoy using {url codes and all that crap trying to get in the database and then they will attack your Contact us page. Like i said above the few he was hitting are now upgraded and havent had any problems since. thx malcolm
Hi Rob, this is a user of your script mate, he asked on another forum for a review and I saw this, have posted to him but he/she hasn't read it? It's the 3.06 version as well. Maybe not set up correctly as the spam is actually in the directory! http://links.maxxfusion.com/index.php?c=1 http://links.maxxfusion.com/admin/login.php I did take a screeny of it Rob but won't bother posting it here, perhaps he's on your forum, where you can help him out.
We have been providing support on the phpLD forums for people having trouble with spam, as has Rob. For the people that have worked with us on the phpLD forums, we have helped them, or else they received help from Rob. We are receiving very few reports of spam now. If you have a problem with spam, the place to ask is the phpLD forums. We want to help, and depend on your involvement to help us help you.
The only thing i see "useless" is your negativity You bring nothing to the table but more "spam"... Our directories have been getting slammed with crap from what i belive is another directory owner who just dont have "skills" for promoting or for that matter "contributing". Phpld is the best script that the industry has to offer and are making sure to elimante spam. have a nice day... thx malcolm
Is there an industry? Where do you get 'its the best script that the industry has to offer?' Is this just an opinion Malcolm? Can you back this up with a 'Features comparison', 'pricing comarison, support comparison, and what is actually happening now? Not what is promised in the futures! By comparison I don't mean just with one or two scripts, I mean them ALL. If your going to make a claim it is the best in the industry? support this with comparing every other script both old and new, what does phpld have to offer in the line of features that puts it at the front? The definition of a leader is a script that shows the way ahead, has state of the art features, is cost effective for the user and so on. Users just means its been going longer, not that its better!
Hello... Cantufind sorry you get so easily offended about things like this. While i understand you are trying to heavily Promote Your script which i havent even bothered to look at as im not interested to be honest as 24 of my sites of the 25 are phpld already,But not say i wouldnt consider building 1 of yours for hell of it. What i ment was that im very accustomed to this script and i personally approve of it as a #1 Choice for Directories owners at the current time in my honestopionon for many factors that im not going to bother getting into with you. The People that work on this script daily (meaning more then 1 person) are upgrading and building daily to meet our needs and wants and to be the Leaders in this Industry. Now may i suggest that you start your own thread and PROMOTE this great script you are preparing and offer an example for the webmasters so as to be a competing force in this industry. thx malcolm
If you have an Version 2.xx pld directory, I have a mod that will send a confirmation email to the submitter. If they don't click the link in the email, their link remains inactive and never clogs your queue. Read more here: http://www.after5webdesign.com/pldmods.html
Thank you, Tim. For those of you that don't know Tim, he has been doing some nice mods, and has even been helping a little with support at times.
These links bring up blank pages for me using Firefox 2.0. And to stay on topic, LinksQuitters.com phpLD is not getting spammed.
Lucky you Annie. Please come back here when you start getting some. As for the spamming in my directory it stopped. Thanks for the MOD installed. Also asked some friends in the area to check if they can about this spamming.
What version are you running? Can you post this on the phpLD supporters forum please? We will definitely help you.
how about scanning the description text for the four letters "http" If found, die(blah blah blah) congrats to an0n for 2500 posts
