Is your GA stats highly innacurate

    Hi DP friends,

Many of my projects are showing highly inaccurate stats. Additionally on few I see nearly 100% "not provided" keywords results. Is it just me or GA have become extremely inaccurate recently?

    Cheers
    Kal

    Highly inaccurate compared to what?

Unfortunately, regarding the "not provided" keywords thing, expect to see that more and more on every analytics service—even if you're using something other than Google Analytics. As search engines move to HTTPS by default (Google was one of the first, but most search engines are doing it these days), the Referrer is no longer included when they click on a link, so analytics services cannot know what keyword referred the user.

The only way to get real keyword analytics now is to use things like Google Webmaster Tools which aggregates some of these stats on the search engine's side (rather via your website).

Not provided is common and not google's fault. Also my statistics are fairly accurate, there are other better sites, but I would say GA is the best free one.
