Google has 70% of market and yahoo has 30% of market so focusing on google can give you a lot!

I don't have much experience so I really don't know which one is better than the other.

Perhaps Yahoo!'s search engine is such a pile of donkey doo that people stay on your site longer because it was such a struggle to find it in the first place. Like finding a site with Yahoo! is a huge quest so you appreciate it more when you finally arrive and stick around, but with Google it's all too easy to come and go with its pesky accurate results?

I agree, Yahoo's search marketing is more targeted and has more conversions than Google. I was blocked from Google at the beginning of the year with some strange general rule I did not meet. I tried resolving it with Google for two weeks with no resolution. Since then, I have been with Yahoo for about 6 months and am glad I switched. They now have an updated panel with almost all the features of Google's. The best part, which Google doesn't have, is a trained staff you can talk to live on the phone. I have called them on several features which some users do not even realize are there ! Great friendly staff that are over willing to help each marketer out there. Try getting a live person from Google on the Phone :)

I've always found Yahoo traffic to be much better 'quality'. Lower bounce rates, go further into my site and spend more time on my site.

Google brings in the volumes yes, but suffers from higher bounce rates.

Bing ... is a bit eratic. Someday's I'll get a trickle, other days a torrent on completely non-sensical keywords and others not a soul. And they want to wipe out the Yahoo algorithm!
