Google Traffic has a higher volume, but the conversion rate for Yahoo Traffic will always be higher, you could say they kinda balance each other out :p

Keywords wise it's something else, but i think volume speaks from Google where's actual traffic that stays and looks around for a while is sent from Yahoo

I truly think you have a point there. I say so cos when I try searching for something on Google without success, I usually go to yahoo for a possible rescue. I turn to pay a very close attention to the pages which comes in yahoo generally cos they are different form the ones which came up in Google.

That's exactly my point, but see the thing is that people are too used to google to look elsewhere and all those improvements the other search engines have been doing *With the possible exception of Bing* have gone unnoticed, thus the issue.

I suppose Yahoo users are the original "old skool" users. Everyone who is introduced to the internet now are told to "Google" everything, when back in the day, it was all about Yahoo and Ask.com. Old habits die hard etc, so you get all "old skool" people using Yahoo.

I could not really say that Google's traffic or Yahoo's traffic is better than the other..
It's actually depends on the people's observation of the results they get.

Look Google = Traffic and lots of it i might add, Bad point? The traffics exposure rate is very short, normally at the most 20 to 30 seconds.

Yahoo = Far Less traffic, but a higher exposure rate, people using Yahoo aren't trying to correct spellings they are trying to find some information =]

I agree with you Rituja but the fact of the matter is that those of us who spend money on Adwords want results in the form of conversions, for that purpose we want to see where most of our traffic is coming from :)

Google brings huge traffics and Yahoo brings less traffics, but Yahoo traffic has less bounce rate and gives good conversion. any ways, you can't say that which traffic is better, bot are necessary for website to survive.

I believe that it all really depends on how your website is built and how & when it gets indexed by their Spiders "Robots".

Each and every Search Engine has its own Algorithm but it all depends on what your website has got compared to others that may rank for such and such keywords.

A think this all really depends on what you expect. In some cases Google provides good conversion rates, in other case Yahoo! conversions are much better. The best way is to test conversion rates both in Google and Yahoo and then opt in for the one, which provides better results.

Yahoo users are most likely to stay for a longer time than Google users. Google users just check quick if you have what they search for and then leave

Its utterly depends upon the users from google and yahoo and quality of back links you provided on yahoo & google.
