Is Yahoo, still active as a search engine?

    I just wander, because most of the search engine.. traffic is on Google and the most of my traffic came from it, and I just notice that Yahoo, only gives a very little amount of traffic. I just want to ask if the users still use the Yahoo as a search engine?

    This is an interesting "Google" subject. I, personally, use Google the majority of the time. Occasionally, I will use Bing but not if I'm working.

    Yes,yahoo still the top 5 search engine.of course it us not as big as google, therefore you can't expect get as much traffic as you get from google

    Yahoo priorty is always towards quality and paid results, SO might be there is always a big difference in Google and yahoo results.

    Actually I never used yahoo search engine my self for any kind of search. I've used google always for anything.

    I'm not sure about others, we must need a poll to decide this.

    Surely millions of users still actively using Yahoo on their searches, especially Yahoo still has loyal users of their services such as Yahoo Messenger...

    I am sure that yahoo is the best engine for many years ago. Now i prefer google to search for a best result.

    yahoo is still in top 5 search engine and generate lots of traffic. yahoo secured 3rd position in ALexa that means it generates lots of traffic.

    I tend to find myself using Google more but now and then will also use Yahoo or Bing. I still see search results for sites from Yahoo so it is still a pretty actively used search engine.

    Well it depends what country you are from, in the USA yahoo + bing has a search share of about 30% but in the UK for example Google has almost all the market.
    I notice with my sites that most traffic come from Google. Realistically yahoo/bing is only ever going to work if there results are better than Google and they still are not.

    Mostly Yahoo is used for analyzing the site, news. People using Yahoo as search engine is very less in number.
