Is Yahoo Marketing Solutions Retarded?

So I just signed up thinking I would give Yahoo a try. So I create a new ad and submit my credit card info. I get an email from them to login and to review my account settings etc. I thought I would go in to adjust my bids just in case they're too high so I go to the login page to login and get this message:

"An error occurred during login. Please try again later. "

Try again later? Wtf kind of a message is that? "Wait a couple hours and then come back, and by then we hope you've burned through your daily adspend limit because of your high bid" is really what they mean.

I mean as a first impression, this certainly isn't a good one. Seems like a pretty crappy quality place to do advertising. I've even tried to reset my password and I get the same message. At least give a more meaningful error message than that....come back later my ass.

 

Is anyone able to login to their Yahoo account? I am still getting this stupid message and it's been like 7 hours since I posted this.

 

Able to login now but ads still dont show even there is no error messages!!

maybe you should try other adsense methods, like abrite, and text-ad-links.com. they may be new, but they are still good alternative to google and yahoo. try it one time and see, how you like it.

did you know that with adbrite you can get cheap .05 cents ads, that can make a difference in your traffic.

Wow. That link was poisonous... Unclosable pop-ups and everything. How rude.

 

But we have never found such type of error msgs......

 

may be session problem or sometime server may go down.
but after 2 or 3 tries it might be resolved.

If you opened many accounts for the purpose of promotional code....then they make your account offline or wont allow you to login? dwhat you did?

 

Never had any issues with yahoo SM, but yeah low bids suck.

retarded... after browsing the Yahoo Search Marketing forum for an hour now i must admit that this is the best adjective to define them i found this far. At least when it comes to monitoring the traffic quality they send. They would not accept even quality websites if they wish to apply as their partners and show ads on content pages. But on the other hand to the advertisers they send traffic from the most garbage websites you can imagine. Once you get it going, pay attention to the actual referrers who send you the clicks. Good luck.
