    i think gmail is slow because of heavy users that keep their server busy.i use yahoo mail and don't experience slow down most of times.

    Their chat software is little slow against gtalk, gtalk is very good for chat purposes.

    yes,. if you using latest yahoo, I still using yahoo mail classic,.. for gmail. no doubt, they fast and have option if you have por bandwith

    Yahoo is probably a better web e-mail service than GMail at this point. If it is any faster, they are probably about on par depending on how fast your computer and internet connection speed is.

    Same here. I've been using Yahoo email since the 90s and haven't had any problems at all. I also have a google email account and I receive emails at the same speed.
    The thing I like about Yahoo email, compared to gmail, is that you can sort the various columns. Wish I could do that in my gmail. Maybe there's a way, but I don't know what it is.

    I think so.Gmail loads faster than yahoo,on a internet connection with same speed.Its because Gmail is simpler on screen,with no loads of stuff and ads with images/videos etc.
    I prefer gmail as many of us here do.

    I have both yahoo and gmail account and I see that Yahoo mail is slower than Gmail and mails sent to Yahoo mail is often missing. And another thing is that the security of yahoo mail isnt as good as the one of Gmail.

    I have used yahoo for almost 6 years then last year my tl suggested me that gmail is much faster and better than google and since that time I am using my gmail as I have found that more faster, easier and secure when compared to yahoo
