Yahoo with Paid Submission with $299. I don't thinks it's worth your money because in this amount you can gets many kinds of OFF Page Submissions and with Yahoo directory you can't gets any business and Traffic from their. I thinks you should have been put more focused on Getting high PR relevant Backlinks instead of Yahoo Directory submission.
for a quick boost its worthless , for long term its needed due to google recognizing yahoo directory and dmoz directory as the most authoritative directories
dmoz.org is free but it could take a long while until it get's approved/disapproved. What's more, it's difficult to get it approved unless your website is pretty good.
If you have a large marketing budget, its worth it. If you have a small marketing budget, you better off spending the money on other things. I pay for a yahoo listing for all my money sites.
Whether is worth it I can say is depends on individual basis, same thing to the question is it worth it if I buy a 299 wallet or 29 wallet? I myself did submit to Yahoo Directory. I do find a bit expensive compare to the rest of Directory, in fact the most expensive one. But it does help on SEO, trust me. Yahoo and Google will give a little point if your website is listed on Yahoo Dir and DOMZ.
I always had trouble believing Google would reward you because you went and gave 300 bucks to their competition.
once i have tried yahoo also i got lots of traffic from yahoo so i really suggest you to use yahoo directory.
I heart from many SEO developers that they do not start project, without including the website is botw, yahoo dir and business.com
I personally think there are better ways to advertise for free, such as on forums, blogs, and other sites. Don't waste your money.
I've done the business.com one but I'm still undecided about yahoo. I'll give it a try I think when I do my next budget.
Yahoo directory is paid. If search directories then you will find many free directories, better than yahoo.
Well, you may try to submit to yahoo regional directories for free and eventually you would get listed into the main directory/ I also have a question, where to find some one to help he redesiging our joomla website. We are a non profit society, so we a sympolic price for a noble cuse !!!! Thanks
I do agree that it is worth it if you are planning on getting a large percentage of your business from organic search results. There aren't much better links from an authority perspective then Yahoo Directory and I do think it is worth the money....if you are running a real business and not an affiliate site.
I actually used the Yahoo Directory Submission for $299 back in 2008. I don't know if things are any different, but I probably won't use them again. They sucked back then and I didn't even finish my experiment. You can check it out here and see what came about from my experience. http://www.gurucreation.com/2008/05/yahoo-directory-worth-money.html
