Have you as PR5 and #8 for Web Directory. Is that a starting point? Get you at #3 for "Premium paid business web directory" so there is not much elbow room there. Will take a look at a few of your cats later.

Yes indeed. It's $299 yearly. Lots of better web directories out there with one-time submission fees. In ten years you will have spent $2,999 for a Yahoo listing.

Another one of these threads, I would say yes, I think Google would look on it better if you get listed in Yahoo, As Yahoo mostly only lists good quality sites! and Google use there directory in the search results

Thanks everyone for the great input. I have one site that already appears organically in Yahoo search results, so does anyone think it still be worth paying for the directory submit? I'm not clear on how or if a directory submit differs from Yahoo organic results. Thanks!

The listing costs approximately $25 monthly, so the only question you have to answer is whether you'll make back in excess of $25 monthly on the "traffic increase" from Yahoo. Since there will be basically no direct traffic, I think it might be hard to do, but I don't know what you're selling.

I refer you back to the 1st page of this thread where I posted http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=4227283&postcount=9

Yahoo is more than worth the money to get listed. You do get direct traffic as Yahoo incorporates its directory in various local searches as well.
