Have any website owners out there paid the $300 to have your website listed in the Yahoo Directory? Lots of quality traffic and an increase in profits and sales? They always say you get what you pay for. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I haven't committed to this, I feel like there are much better ways to spend $300 of a marketing budget. At the end of the day it's one link, it might improve your ranking somehwhat but I can't imagine that significantly, and in it's place I could spend the 300 on something like being an advertised feature in a highly targeted industry email or something like that, which I know will drive x amount of traffic and significantly increase visibility. Whereas the single link from Yahoo is an unknown and you'll never really be able to know how effect it was, there are also plenty of ways to get good links without paying this much.
