Is Yahoo crazy???

Hi, sth weird is happening to me:

I have a tourist site written in spanish (my mother tongue), I realeased it just 4 weeks ago. The weird thing is that on every saturday since them, yahoo has send me around 300 visitors, which is obviously great, but on sunday and for the rest of the week that traffic disappear. What is more weird is that, when I check the term from where people are coming to my site, I´ll see that my visitors are all mexicans, so I checked Yahooo MEX, and indeed, I am on number 2 for that search...so them, why can a search drops from 300 visitors on every saturday to none, zero, nothing the rest of the week???

Is getting me crazy, I can not figure it out what is going on...

Perhaps the search volume is only high on weekends, people visiting the beaches only on weekends???
Perhaps they will pick up during the holidays as well

No, on Mexico Yahoo...the theory of the weekend is good, but the weirdest thing is that the therm is sth related to Brazil and not Mexico...so that one could not be the explanation either...

How long has this pattern been happening? If it's a short time it could just be regular ranking fluctuations.

Did you check the ranking of your site on weekdays and saturdays?

I think you need to know if the ranking fluctuates first.

Well, yahoo is not such a good SE,when I search something on it, the first result has 10% relevancy to what I`m after.

You might want to focus on all search engines instead of 1 :)

Maybe Mexicans are only able to access the internet on Saturdays since they're busy working in all of the new US factories that have moved there over the last few years durring the week.

    LOL

That could be it, but maybe its a glitch in your stats counter? Are you going by raw access logs?

I bet the amount of Mexicans that get on on a Sunday is also very low, along with your page views on Sunday

Raw access logs as in, for example, if you have cpanel you will see "latest visitors" it shows you the IP, referrer, and pages viewed.

Or if you dont, usually you will have a folder in your FTP by default called logs , same thing.
