    For ranking, google and yahoo uses different algorithm. So, it may happen that one is ranking you better and another is almost no!! In yahoo, the age of your site gets priority and some other issues also, while in google they don't count your site age rather regular upgradation of contents.

    Getting the search result of what I am looking for is most important and up to date, Google has better search result.

    Yahoo still need to brush up to meet the ideal search result.

    Both are equally good. But most of them use google, as it is user friendly and faster, and also we cant find any disadvantage with yahoo too!!

    Google definitely. Better search results, more social features and easier to optimize for in my opinion. Also, most web traffic comes from there so it's a popular choice to optimize for. Google all the way for me.

    Google is so fickle. Whichever you count as better doens't matter as much as remembering not to depend on the traffic from Google that much. They are just too wishy-washy for me. i am starting to really like what I see on the lower tier engines.

    I never realized that most people in USA used Yahoo as search engine qenchey,
    i din't think i get traffic from yahoo or bing at all it's all Google for me i the UK. Can't say i agree with better quality results from Yahoo.
