Though the premise of Quora and Yahoo Answers is essentially the same, Quora's approach in onboarding people with credible profiles made a huge difference.
I'm finding Quora to have the better format as well. Yahoo Answers is not always the best place to get a quality answer.
No, Actually both Yahoo Answers and Quora are lesser versions of what they were earlier. Quora came to power when Yahoo Answers lost its game. But Quora has been declining since 2016. Both are as good as defunct. Quora has become a half-hearted link place.
These days you can find lots of militant type people promoting their religious war on quora, and quora will not do anything about it. That is a sure shot turn off. This is the reason why I stopped participating on quora.
That's just bollocks mate, Quora has turned to shit since the QPP came into being, It's just full of retarded fuckwits posting nonsense answers to nonsense questions in an attempt to earn a few dollars.
I would still prefer Quora over Yahoo Answers, it dominates the search results when it comes to different users query and the best thing here is they are satisfied with the informative content.
Yahoo Answers and Quora provide platforms where users can post questions and get answers, yet each offers distinct audiences and strengths. Yahoo Answers was widely known for its broad user base and informal environment. At the same time, Quora stands out due to its extensive answers and expert-driven community that draws professionals and subject matter experts for expert opinions and insight sharing. Which platform you prefer depends on what solutions you seek: if quick, diverse opinions are what you desire, then Yahoo Answers is best; for more detailed responses, Quora might be superior.
Quora seems to come more into my Google search results than Yahoo. Maybe more questions are answered there, maybe it has better ranking - I don't know for sure.
Yahoo Answers was shut down in May 2021, so unfortunately, you won’t be able to use it anymore. If you're looking for alternatives, Quora is still great, and you might also check out Reddit (r/AskReddit, r/NoStupidQuestions), Stack Exchange (for specific topics), or The Answers Project. If you're into casual Q&A, Brainly and Ask.fm are also options.
