Mystique you are right when you say it is a popular myth and you can get flagged. However, you can submit answers and put your website as the source for the answer and that is a totally valid thing to do. And then when people search up relevant keywords and your yahoo answers shows up (higher chance to get ranked), which can lead to people visiting your website.

Getting a link from wikipedia is awesome and a great link, and I don't mean the 1000's of wiki links you can buy from fiverr, i mean wikipedia! so if thats what you meant you are wrong.
