"Yahoo Answers" link are "Do Follow" links ? If I create 2 genuine links on yahoo answers daily, how it should help to my blog?

shrutidev, you should not care if link is dofollow or nofollow as long as you are not spamming and building links in polite way.

Backlink is backlink, no matters if it's dofollow or nofollow. While some "gurus" tell that nofollow links do not help, they DO HELP. I have some sites which have ONLY nofollow incoming links and all of them are indexed and ranked properly. The only thing about nofollow - it does not transfer Google PR (if you care about that). Otherwise, it's just another typical backlink which helps for your site to get ranked better.

Here is old article which should explain how nofollow backlinks work - http://www.squidoo.com/trackback-submitter-reviews

I agree with Hosting24, no follow links are still good for your site.

Even if the nofollow link does not matter in giving you higher search ranking it is helpful if they bring traffic. After all it is eventually the traffic that you care about.

Yahoo answers can be very useful, especially if you are answering questions related to your sites' topic, this can get you a lot more organic traffic, however only Y answers pages that are indexed well (1st few pages of google/yahoo/msn etc for a keyword your site is using) will really do anything major for your SE ranking. But every little helps

Links are always helpful; be it "do follow" or "no follow"; at least to get some traffic only if it is not from pron or gambling sites.

Having links on popular topics cannot only help with link building, but in some cases can provide real traffic. A post from my humor/satire site was referenced by a user on Yahoo Answers, and I saw traffic increase by a few hundred more visitors over the span of a couple weeks.

As long as the link appears to be genuinely informative to the question (and not spammy), you can also generate real traffic from YA.

    @ hosting24

I think it would help you more if the answer you gave is chosen as the best answer.

    Hi,

As far as my knowledge is concerned, Y! answer is the best one because the visitors thro' this site are really searching the answer for that particular query.

I love Yahoo answers! I have found that the traffic that it generates (while not all that much for my niche) is a very focused group that pertains to my area. Plus some of the questions that are posed challenge myself to understand my market a little better...some times I find I am learning as much as I am giving. :)

Yahoo Answers is good but don't just post your link with no regard to reader value. If you're an expert in your niche, provide real advice pertinent to the user's question and don't add your links in every post.

I agree what you said, i have similar thought . What is the main goal to get backline, higher page rank, and top position in Google? I believe that the goal is to get more traffic to your website. You care about more people to view you website more than a page rank number, right? There are a lot of pang rank 0 website are giving “dofollow”, and there are many higher page rank website /blogs do not give the dofollow. In my case, most traffic to my website is from nofollow website. (By the way, the yahoo does not care about “dofollow”.)

well it varies...but for me i can look up almost any question i have and there are already a bunch of people asking the same question. everyone answers to their best ability. if nobody has the same quesiton as you, you can ask ur specific quesiton by writing your own, and ppl will respond to specifically you. it's really helpful to me!

Yahoo answers is too much pain. I'm sick of being moderated, banned, deleted, etc.
Still some people claim to make good money with the traffic coming from Yahoo Answers.
