Is Yahoo Answers help in increasing back links??

Yahoo answers help you to get user traffic, not for Back linking. Yahoo Answers and Wiki Answers are the great way to cache your website within 24 to 48 hours. If you want back link for your website, I suggest you to Leave comments to the other people's blog, it's a excellent approach to get back link.

 

You will get a traffic, but i have no idea for back links....

 

Its very good for traffic.. don't expect back link.
Moreover you will be banned if you use yahoo answers only for traffic through link.

 

you can increase your traffic from yahoo answers.
iam posting daily in yahoo answers but not getting any backlinks.

 

"they are using nofollow tag" it does not matter unless search engine like Google care about it(why should they?),the only issue now is they have stopped anchor links now yours goes just as plain text line....I wonder if that too is important and picked up by Google!!

 

Okay this topic has appeared here on DP many many times let me clarify for everyone, once again.

a) Yahoo Answers does allow a backlink from Users over Level 2.
b) This backlink is no-follow.
c) No-follow backlinks do not help with PR but they do help with SERP position.

Conclusion: Yahoo Answers is decent for getting natural targeted traffic and the backlinks help some with the SERP position.

 

yahoo answer is very smart move by yahoo ppls....might be one day it will beat Google search

 

yahoo answer links are no follow. but google have some special preference for special sites.. i have seen lot of progress in ranking and positions if u use yahoo answer. yahoo answer has strict policy on spamming so, it helps to product a fruitful content .

You will get a lot of traffic from yahoo answers, but there is not much value as far as PR goes since it is a no-follow site.
You need to be wise when using it, or else youll be banned for spamming. Those who use it properly have seen a huge increase in their traffic.

 

i think they use nofollow tags. but even then if the yahoo answers page gets ranked high in google, you can get a lot of visitors!

 

Even being a top contributor, it's a no-follow zone so you can only get a bit more traffic, not page rank.

there are other search engines other than google. if ranked high, yahoo and msn/bing can send a good deal of traffic. while google doesn;t count yahoo answer links for being nofollow, yahoo and msn still count them as backlinks.

 

It will get you alot of traffic but wont increase your backlink count . Even the traffic would be like directed from yahoo answer and would be a reducing type. Its better to not fill up yahoo answers but rather to work on the site keywords.

 

i think yahoo is just a source to get popularity or brand buliding.i never got any backlinks from yahho answers.
But stil i cant deny the fact that yahoo can asist to drag traffic.
