At first you have to make a search for the topics of your niche and make the answer to it as per the question asked in it. Then you will get good traffic to your site in short span of time.

    I get some good traffic from yahoo answers to my site. However the traffic comes only from questions that fit the niche of my website. Questions I do answer outside my niche, with me giving the best answer, do nothing for me.

    Provided you don't spam the network. Most people hang on asking for level 2 users and in return they get spam alerts.
    Yahoo is no fool and only manual posting as well as non clickable + few random clickable links get you traffic.

    Posting only level2 answers banns the site from yahoo search.
    I learned it the hard way and my current advertise team did magic to recover my site.
    They post yahoo answers for me and each and every one of them gets me traffic.

    When answering a question yahoo answers does not give a back link any more.. It might be worth looking at answers dot com as this provides you with a back link too
