Is Yahoo and Google reversly proportional?

    Hi,
    I have read somewhere about this. Not precisely what I quoted in the title. But this seems to be happening to my sites. Whenever I find SERP of my sites going up in Google exactly the reverse happens in Yahoo and vice versa. Experts out there may have a say on this phenomenon and how to overcome this jinx. Please comment

    They differ in some places, but more or less evens out in average
