    Hi,

I have a list of tourist place. I would like to list them individually on a web page and allow people to search for the place they would like to visit according to a search keyword they enter and show the result. The keyword can be summer, water, kayaking, camping or anything. I would key in those keyword for each place. Is WP a good application to use for this purpose? Shall I assume MySql is used by WP? Does WP have admin section? Does it allow people to add comment to an individual tourist place? Does it sort list according to keyword? I know nothing about WP so I would like to have experts' opinions.

    Thanks in advance.

Why not install it and see if it does all of those things?

Yes, wp uses mysql, yes it has an admin area, yes you can comment, yes you can search.. You should just try a demo and see for yourself.

Yes it does all the things that you require.
Moreover, the best part with wordpress is that you can customize its looks as per you want.. There are few free themes which might suit your tourist site too. Just install them and see.
