is wordtracker different with google trends?

    need some advice...
    i just buy a domain regarding from wordtracker keyword
    the keyword i buy to domain "telus directories" and i see it has 1746 searches.
    so i buy the domain www.telusdirectories.com

    after the researcher i found that google estimated just have 5 searches and the google trends of this keyword is 0.
    am i wrong to buy this domain regarding from wordtracker???
    please advice..

    Use this tool to have a better keyword search estimate

    adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

    It showed that your keyword do have some searches.

    Answering your title: YES. Google Trends is different from Wordtracker. Wordtracker collects searches from metacrawler's such as Dogpile, whereas Google Trends displays results collected from its own search engine.

    I checked Wordtracker for your keyword, other keyword like "telus telephone directories" have only 4-5 searches. That means that your main keyword must be having searches around the same line. Wordtracker is not perfect - also sometimes it gets buggy.
