Is Wordpress still the blog of choice?

    Yeah I think Wordpress is the best. I use it on almost all of my sites and as long as you know basic HTML its simple and easy to use!!

    I use wordpress for all of my new sites. It is very easy to use once you get the hang of everything.

    Yes, another heavy wordpress user here. The useful benefits are countless from pings to seo and a lot more that you can do.

    Wordpress has to be the best which is the one I use and is easy to customize or install plugins which is handy :D. This means the features for WordPress are basically unlimited if you can find the plugin for it :)

    Thanks everyone, I figured as much but always a chance some new platform came along to blow everyone away. ;)

    Maybe one day we'll get the features of WP without all the bloat.

    For me, that's a YES.

    It's still the preferred blogging application to-date. Other applications are also joining the market, but have yet to establish their foothold as a preferred blogging application.

    the plugins and themes are just an overwhelming factor

    i wish there was something as easy to use and as well supported as Wordpress that would let me make one page sites, without the heavy database load that wordpress has

    Yeah.. wordpress rocks... I started with Blogger, moved to Wordpress. Dreamrun continues. If you dont know much abt HTML go for blogger, other wordpress is the best option.

    I agree. WP is easy to use, has robust features and many great templates to choose from. You can also start with a stripped down version and customize your own. Easy to manipulate the code.
