is Wordpress secure?

    I've just read this from Wikipedia, and it kind of scared me:

    Personally I've never had a problem with security, but was wondering if these issues are still around today? Has anyone here gotten their Wordpress site hacked?

    I haven't and I even can't find a reason why someone would want to hack my blog:)

    Hi

    I read on this blog - www.snarke.net - that her blog got hacked into. I'm sure it was a WordPress blog. Can't remember, but she wrote about it in one of her more recent posts so it should be on her homepage.

    Yes, it is a platform that is vulnerable. This is why if there is an upgrade, we, as a Wordpress blogger must perform it as soon as possible as the upgrades will cover some security fixes as well.

    A few weeks back, Matt Cutts from Google reveals three tips on how you can make your Wordpress blog more secure.
