I want to download wordpress ..but is everything is free there to access and publish post.. I dont know abot this platform. But I know that wordpress.com is totally free and no need to dwnlod. But wht about wp.org??? Thanks
Thanks Golden for ur quick reply..But is it possible that put ads on diff. location of diff pages? Because currently i'm working in blogger blog. This feature doesnt available there but I heard it is in wp.Is it true?
Simply saying, Wordpress.org provides a software call Wordpress, it's completely free. To make the software running, you need a machine; to make everybody else to find you, you need a public domain name. Unfortunately, you have to pay for the public domain name, and most cases, pay for the machine- which is usually called as host.
the different between the .com and .org .com is a free hosted blog site using WP platform, yes all free and you dont need to pay anything. .org also free, but its self hosting script, so you must have your own hosting and domain, all you have to do is download it, upload to your website and install it.
I had read another thread and they kept talking about WP and Self hosting WP and it was confusing for someone new like me. Thanks for the info it helped with some of the confusion. I was wondering if either wordpress is good for making money online. I read that they can be strict on ads and not really allow them. Is this true?
Wordpress.com is strict on ads. Self hosted Wordpress (or Wordpress.org), you can do whatever you want.
wordpress.org provide the script that run wordpress.com so you can install it on your own machine, it has all the wordpress.com functionality but without any restriction.
WordPress Script is completely free but you will need a webhosting and domain to install it. Regarding your 2nd question you can add different ads in different pages using a plugin called "Widget logic"
Yes it is free. You would just be charged for the domain and hosting on an annual basis or whatever package you avail.
Hiii, wordpress.org is totally free so, you do not care about this yes but you have to pay for domain and hosting....
