I was running a website for free printables at http://pinkwool.com and after what I have learned from there I started a new wordpress based blog on the same lines at http://printthistoday.com but even after 6 months I am unable to drive much traffic. Is there some difference because pinkwool is a website and printthis is a blog? Please compare the difference and let me know which is better.

All you have to do is google wordpress and seo and see that it is brilliant. If you are systematic and have lots of time, there is no reason why your static html website could not be as seo friendly as a php one. However, Wordpress makes things like H1 tags, title attributes etc all automatic. You never have to look at a piece of HTML again.
