Vista made me mad, when most of my games refuged to run on Vista..

    And I have C2D with 4 GB DDR2 RAM, 200X2 GB SATA2 HDD, and Geforce 7800 GTX 512 PCIe

Interesting you love it so much. If it worked properly then I wouldn't "hate" it.

Also interesting you didn't reply to any of my comments... mainly because you can't as they are true and factual.

My first thought was "omg microsoft has joined DP to try and get the webmaster community in on Vista"

And the fun fact is, out of those 20 million users many were those poor souls that got Vista pre-installed on their brand new PC, thus having no choice other than just to stick with it, and cry on daily basis..

Exactly. Not many people have actually gone out to buy a copy and install on their xp running computer.

Vista is fine assuming you don't want to play many games, install many additional programs or do anything of that nature.

I have been using Vista x64 for a while now and haven't came across any problems with it... just some temp monitoring software wouldn't install which I can live without....

so for me yes Vista is better than XP.

Anything you can suggest, I have tried. There is nothing abnormal running in the background, tried an MSCONFIG already. And no, I built the machine from scratch so Norton was not packaged with the OS. It was a fresh install of Norton 2007. Don't really think it's the machine, it's Vista because the machine was slow as hell even before I installed Norton.

I work in IT and I have built several different Vista machines with different configurations each time (for program and web/application development). Vista sucks from an IT standpoint is what I'm saying. Would love to see how well Vista would run with all of my developer tools on it! Yea, it wouldn't run....

well the frustration is ture.. i do understand.. you guys at some point in time would be moving on to Vista.. developers community is working hard and you'll find more number of products coming into market that actually works..

some games that dont work with Vista will release their patches and you'll be able to play them again..

so i m not sure if Vista helps currently in your work .. but I opened this thread in general category to see if i can be of some help and not to trouble someone..

appologies if you thought I wanted to bother you or any other member

i'v been using vista for 2 months now  , i'v tested it on different machines at the first i liked vista coz there is some new feature that make it easy to work with files , search, management. etc...

what makes me mad is some of programs couldn't work prefect on vista as xp and some network issues
